We are a Tier 1 automotive supplier performing manufacturing and engineering for the majority of the automotive community worldwide. A problem that many organizations face is the rampant growth of management tools that meet specific requirements at the time they are deployed. A few years using this strategy and managing the tools becomes a full time position in itself. We have found OpenNMS to be a more than competent replacement to several specific tools (all of which have the annual maintenance fees) and are still expanding its role within our organization due to its versatility. The ability to manage specific services within the server is fueling the OpenNMS expansion beyond our North America deployment to include our Europe and Asia interests. In these hard times within the automotive sector and IT in general, OpenNMS has been one shining light for Dura and their bottom line. We are certainly appreciative of your hard work and dedication to the project!
Our deployment manages 221 devices currently covering 13 countries, 416 interfaces with over 1500 services being monitored and reported upon.
